Semi-Annual Meeting Update 2022

Trinity Columbarium Approved

A resolution to build a columbarium at Trinity was passed at the semi-annual meeting on Sunday, June 26. The structure will be located on the exterior of the south sanctuary wall. Next steps include creating the policies and guidelines for the columbarium, finalizing construction details, and appointing an oversight committee for managing the columbarium. Construction won’t be completed until 2023. More details about how to purchase a niche will be provided once the columbarium policies are finalized. Thanks to our Columbarium Task Force members for helping educate the congregation prior to our vote!

Interim Pastor to Join Trinity’s Staff

Pastor Dan Dahl has accepted a call to serve as Trinity’s Interim Pastor of Spiritual Care. Pastor Dahl grew up at Trinity and has served ELCA ministries in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Brazil. Dan is married to Denise and is the son of Herb and Peggy Dahl. He will begin his call on Aug. 1 and will serve for at least one year, or until Trinity calls its next pastor. He brings a passion for visitation and care ministries and for Trinity’s servant ministries. We look forward to welcoming Pastor Dahl and Denise to our community!
