Trinity Service

Trinity Lutheran Church has many opportunities to get involved and serve the church. Fill out our Volunteer Survey and submit your information to the church. Learn more about Trinity service opportunities below.

Calling Ministry

Trinity’s Calling Ministry is an ongoing ministry of the God’s Squad. It has been an important way of connecting with homebound members over the past few months of the coronavirus pandemic. Volunteers have a list of members that they call twice a month. If you are interested in volunteering for this important ministry, please call the church office at 641-423-0536, or contact Becky Elsbernd.

Prayer Squares

Since July, over 700 pocket prayer squares have been crocheted, knit, and quilted by a small group of Trinity members. The majority of these items have been donated to MercyOne Hospital for the COVID-19 patients. Like a small prayer shawl, pocket prayer squares are a symbol of hope and care. This ministry is an example of how time and a little bit of yarn can bring healing and comfort, connecting people to a community of faith. Trinity’s Prayer Team

We are grateful for all the participants of Trinity’s Prayer Team who faithfully care for the persons who have requested prayer. If you are interested in being part of Trinity’s Prayer Team, please call or email the church. Once a week, you will receive a list of people who have requested prayer. Occasionally, another email will be sent about someone who has called with a special prayer request regarding a more immediate situation. With no special skills, adjustable time commitment, and a flexible schedule, you can be part of a very significant ministry.
